In some parts of Pakistan, there is a traditional custom in which to end a dispute or enmity between two families, girls are given away as brides sometimes as young as 3 to men as old as 50 or 60. This is a very disturbing and deplorable practice rooted in the culture of some people and it makes me very sad that something like this should happen to a child.
