The empty and luminous space is delayed by the hyper realistic presence of the mummies of Ancient Egypt’s pharaohs. The mummies transfer our body’s image into another age, where the body has become a tool to transform time. According to Rudolf Steiner, ancient Egyptians mummified their bodies so that, leaving the physical life, their soul kept in front of them its image, preparing an even deeper active penetration into the material world. They are functional design objects. If we consider the year zero acting like a mirror, we will find that we are now specularly reflecting the era of Ancient Egypt. We experience this fact in our attitude towards the body, its cloning, its fossilization, in fashion and in much of contemporary art. Under the skin, the mask of the impasse we are living in, a surprising and very fast transformation is being achieved.
