A R T I S T         S T A T E M E N T

All matter is made up of energy.
If you look through a microscope at
anything 'solid', you will see an infinite number of vibrating
particles which we define as energy or spirit.
My paintings are about catching that 'life' that exists in everything.
The colors, the strokes, textures, movements all combine to make it
alive. It is the integration of spirit and form.

I paint directly with the tube, discarding my brush to use my bare
hands, to create feelings and moods that are natural, fleeting, spontaneous?
Often, I have been asked what inspires me and I think it's the creative
process of life. Whether its making music or dancing or pottery or
holding someone you love or of simply being…

To me art is an expression of that life force that exists in us all. It
is an extention of life and living it.
It's about the spiritual, emotional,
intellectual and physical growth of us all and how a change in one or
more of these features, attributes a change in us.

India is my theme, my palette and my canvas. Everything Indian inspires
me. From it's ancient rituals to the simple everyday lives of it's
varied folk,from it's magnificent architectural splendor and it's different dance
forms to it's lilting musical compositions.

Everything in this diverse land is a contradiction in itself.

A beautiful one at that.
