The second time I saw this was in the fall of 2008 in Toronto, Canada and for whatever reason I didn’t immediately make the connection with the Nova Scotia incident. I did however, spot the telephone (hereafter referred to as cell phone) right away and picked it up with the intent of finding the owner or contact name but it seemed switched off. I tried to turn it on but the display flashed “no sim card“ so I went to the downtown police station (near the old city hall) with the cell phone and the shoes (cloggy things). I explained the situation (and realized I didn’t take a picture AGAIN! What’s wrong with me?) and was told the only thing they could do was put the items in lost and found and I could leave my name in case of a reward. I did not leave my name because with the shoes in hand the Nova Scotia event flashed back and I felt spooked, the hair was standing up on the back of my neck. I guess I should have because perhaps I could have had an idea of what was going on (or not). Even if I did take a picture and show the police imagine the looks I’d get?!
