After the big winter sleep the silo wakes up. The silo group (this is an open artist group in Saarbrücken, Germany, I am happy to belong to) met again for the first meeting to check what happened during winter to the silo.... windows broken, the pigeons hibernated in the tower and let us a lot of "souvenirs", electricity broke down, the tower was flooded by water... so the first action will be - could it be different? - a cleaning action... we heard to the stories of Roman, who is running the silo café, because even when the art has stopped in winter (it's to cold in winter to work there) the silo had a lot of adventures...

But then the plans are developped what we could plan and realize this year - how we could make happen all the ideas we imagined during this winter. How can we get sponsoring this year? We will begin with a first show end of April - a cool entry into the season...

We also plan our common sculpture - the whole group will work on - beton, metal, illimunation... Ulrike and me we already have the same fever to do this...

Roman - who takes care of the frame of the events ... will perhaps make "his sculpture" a very pragmatic one : a stone-oven-pizza-open air solution! Guy, it's good to have you with us!

And Volker Schütz, he will realize his film this year in the silo.... he won a film subvention so he can realize his project - and which place would better fit as the urban ambiance of the silo? When he told me about the film i see such pictures and scenes in my head.
