There will be a new art exhibition in germany.

Deadline is Friday, 18. april 2008!
This time the job is very easy: We just need ONE PHOTOGRAPHIC PICTURE per artist that needs just to match ONE CONDITION: It has to have an extreme upright format! (Maybe 'native' or You may cut it out - as You prefere)
The exhibition will take place in Saarbruecken, and it will take place in an old, abandoned industrial facility: The silo.
The silo (Attention - Here comes the upright format again!) is 40 metres tall, looks like a bunker built upside down into the air, consists of 100% reinforced concrete and is - sadly - a ruin.
But at the end of this month this ruinity will be over - as the Silogroup - a gang of hell-bent artists, will use this ground for an exhibiton.
The main title is "Galerie Verticale" and of course there will be a section for photography, lomography and analog media.
At this moment, the silo is dead. And needs to be revived. It has been grey - pure grey - pure concrete. And now we will revive and recolor it!
"How? - And what's my part in it?"
It's easy to be a reanimator, because the only thing You need to do is to send ONE picture. Just a JPG! That's all! (Of course You may also send more pictures! We will then select the one that fits best! :)
Then we will PRINT your picture with an old xerox-machine - so we'll have a big, cheap print, which is of course still dead, black, grey and white.
But not for long! As mentioned above, we have some young, ambitious artists here, who own a paint-box and they know how to use it!
They will put sparkling multicolored live back into Your picture! They will recolor the xeroxed picture! And of course it's up to You to decide, whether they do this in a strictly crazy way or whether they try to match your original style.
"But what kind of picture do you want??"
First and most important: It has to have an extreme upright format! It has to have the same dimensions as the silo itself! As the silo is 40 metres high and about 10 metres wide, your picture should have these dimensions too. You may scale it down as long as You keep this 40 x 10 thing! (a JPG with 4000 pixel high and 1000 pixel wide would be perfekt)
(If the picture has a different format, the old lady xerox may just cut away some parts of it - so take care in this point! ;-)
There are no limits about the content of your picture! (We like things which badly do need a reanimation and we like things which are simply veerryyy looong and have nice colors to play with! But animals are good too! Especially long ones! - But finaly: Your theme is only up to you! Surprise us!)
