Congratulations to all winners of the rooted contest! I would like to thank everyone for this beautiful thing, culture inside (ci), fellow artists the entire machine without which none of these things would ever be possible. I wish many more of the kind will come and to be better prepared by then. A special Thank You! for all my friends, art lovers and fellow (rivals :-)) artists that spent a little of their time to come and look at my paintings and those who voted for my submitted artwork. As I heard from culture inside and from the “rooted” contest I stopped everything embraced the venture and got rooted straight away. I found the theme very opportune and scrutinized my paintings searching for finished artwork (I resisted the temptation of just activating one of my already existent galleries on ci…) and found 5: “citizen of the world”, “aN human and brave nü world” a schizophrenic attempt to portray Huxley’s Bernard in Brave New World, “no title (hangin’ Oscar)”, “being! (o Anjo da Luz ou o mito do Heroi)”, zero (nothing like a symbol to explain everything) and I painted exclusively “roots” for this contest. I hope you enjoyed my selection! I worked on all of them simultaneously (citizen of the world, I retouched after 11 years; was full of scratches; on being! the perspective just did not look right and I lent a little more dignity to my Jesus expression and posture, and in all of them I had to be happy and stop to make photos of all (it was dark as I did it; sorry for the photo quality), and submitted I cannot remember but iI believe ca couple hours before the end of the deadline German Time. I did not lose but gained a lot of experience and besides it was pure fun. I choose this way to thank you and to congratulate my fellow artists and friends because I know they are busy doing the same… My respect and great wishes to you all, mjf
