by   Alana Wetherspoon

United Arab Emirates is becoming one of the countries which is opening its doors for investors who want to invest in the economy and be able to live and work in the country. With its latest liberation of the investor visa it has new pathways for the wealthy and highly qualified individuals.

A long term visa procedure has been approved by the Cabinet of UAE which would be giving a chance to the investors, entrepreneurs and the professionals in the fields of research, science, medical, technical and the creative culture of arts to be able to get residency in the country.

The initiative has been done to provide feasibility for the businesses and also to create an environment which is backed by investment for the growth of the different entities, entrepreneurs and the professionals.

There are two categories by means of which the Canada investor visa would be given, residence visa for five year. One is where the applicant would have to have a property of a value amounting to AED5m (£1.07m, $1.36m, €1.2m).

The second category involves a public deposit in an established country, business partnership of an amount AED 10 million or more or the total investment which is being done should not be less than AED 10 million while the real estate investment should be less than 60 per cent of the total investment. This would be the category in which the applicant would have the option to renew the visa after the time period of 10 years.

The amount which is being invested as an eligibility should be owned by the applicant and there should be no loans taken on that amount of investment, provided with the supporting documents. The investment which is being done by the investor needs to be for three years of time period at minimum with the solvency not more than AED 10 million where the long term visa would have the option to be extended to involve business partners who also contribute to the investments.

The long term visa is targeted tow two type of entrepreneurs one would be those who have had a previous project of a minimum of AED 500,000 or the ones who would be having an approval which accredits to the business entity in the country.

Such applicants would be given a 5 year visa at first and then it would be upgraded to more years after meeting the eligible criteria.

The entrepreneurial visa would have the benefit of including partners, three of the executive directors, immediate family which includes children and spouse. The applicant would be entering the country for a period of six months first and then would be granted to an extended period of time which he/she would have to apply for.
