‘Tracy Emin’s bed peace’ (AKA: ‘Bed-in at the Birkenhead Hilton’). This is a fantasy painting depicting an imaginary bed-in peace protest by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. I wasn’t trying to get any kind of likeness, as this is painted entirely from my imagination (apart from a brief look at Tracy Emin’s bed), but I do think John’s turned out quite well. Also, I’ve since heard that there may be plans to build a Hilton hotel in Liverpool! (?) So, maybe my paintings have prophetic qualities. This is an original acrylic painting, on a box canvas.
