Mein Blog

SOON !
von   Gila Paris

I am so happy (and honored) that I am in the film team as location photographer and (can I believe this?) camera operator. Finally the long waiting is over, the film production will start soon!

Which project? The experimental film “Der Tanz von Prinzessin Hiroshibelle” (the Dance Of Princess Hiroshibelle) of Volker Schütz! You already know Volker Schütz. He is an artist in our community (go to his e-space) , and if you want to know more about him, here is an interview (only in German) to upload. Upload Interview

And could there be a better place for such film experiments as the Kunstsilo (Art Silo) in Saarbrücken? No, I think that it will be an ideal place for this project.
It’s no documentation, no action, it’s experimental and it is a dancing film. Dead souls, phantoms, waking up, realizing that they are phantoms and beginning to move .. to dance … a very long dance , the movie will be filmed with an old camera obscura.
The music for the final production is produced during the movie with a theremin one of the earliest electronical musical instruments played without being touched. It was invented by the Russian inventor Lev Sergejevich Theremin in 1919. The theremin is an electrophone, a subset of the quintephone family. To play, the player moves his or her hands around the antennas, controlling frequency and amplitude.

I will not tell more - I think that I add step by step some information about this project into my blog…

The film is promoted by the Gesellschaft zur Medienförderung Saarland - Saarland Medien mbH and
supported by LENOVO-Store Deckarm, Saarbrücken.
