in a nutshell...michelle gerber born in south africa raised in a caravan in the namib desert for the first 6 years of my life where my father was a geologist. hardly ever saw people but lived in a desert environment with not much but the snakes, monkeys, turtles and insects that my father would bring back from his excursions.

I have lived many lives within this one life. I have been a small town farm girl, a bartender, a model, a hippi a traveller, a greek housewife, a mother, but the thread that weaves through all of that has always been my art.  the one thing stable and beautiful and calming through the intensity of this journey we call life.

studied, copied, learnt, grew. does it really matter which university i went to?

what matters is that i am a soul and that i have been given the greatest curse and the greatest gift of all, a gnawing need within myself to create and express and create again.  to suffer the loneliness of those who feel.
