I have several series that are grounded in the same technique that explore impermanence and emphasizes change in vivid color. All work is done in-camera with no digital manipulation.
Some series explore the realities of impermanence and the passage of time. Others series explores our changing perspectives the seeming rigidity of our perceptions.
In normal still photographs any change is rendered as a blur and detail is lost. This body of work captures that detail and boldly emphasizes it in vivid colors leaving stationary objects in their natural color. Creating these images in camera and on film allows me to capture the energy of change while maintaining a grounding in reality.
I like to print large to enhance the impact of the colors. The intriguing details of the interactions between colors draw one into an intimate distance to explore.
