EXHIBITION  @  THE GALLERY    -    CURRENT - EN COURS
UNTIL JANUARY 31, 2014

3 artists - 3 generations - 3 visions

Open : TUE-FRI 2.30-6.30 pm - SAT 11 am - 5.30 pm Ouvert : MAR - VEN 14h20 - 18h30, SAM 11 - 17h30 Standard-Öffnungszeiten : DIE - FRE 14h30-18h30, SAM 11 - 17h30

This international exhibition presents selected artworks, bronze sculptures and paintings as well as mixed media showing the perceptions and visions of 3 artists - women of 3 generations, 3 different countries and different styles.

Ksénija Ljubibratic alias XENIA born in Sarajevo in 1928 /living and working near Paris / France devoted her life to sculpture. She graduated in Fine Arts at Belgrad and went then at  the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (Ateliers Yencesse, Zatkin, Couturier) from 1959 to1967. She was honored by numerous awards during her career as sculptor. She captures in her outstanding bronze compositions intimate moments  of woman, their movements, gestures, esprit and soul.

Monika Grygier's works reveal a dual commitment to capturing the vigor of the modern urban cityscape as well as the human soul transfixed within that phantasmagoric moment. Like a jazz composition, her arrangements work through the inspired disarray of the individual components. These pieces all fit together and express a unified view due to their disjointed energy. Her works tumble and spill about on the canvas, where a vortex summons our focus. (ArtisSpectrum, NY)

Héloïse Delègue, young painter from Paris, just graduated in Visual Arts in 2012 at the Sorbonne. Narrating stories she plays with dimensions of scale and perspective, and endeavours to confuse the viewer into having to look at her work from different angles until, like a jigsaw puzzle, the abstracted pieces begin to fall into place. With a very sensitive soft color management  and a incredible passion to paint, she definitely stands out from the crowd, a young painter to follow.

DU 7 SEPTEMBRE AU 29 SEPTEMBRE 2012

 IMAG-IN-A-NATION

VERNISSAGE : VENDREDI LE 7 SEPTEMBRE À 18H30

This international exhibition is composing visions of photographers coming from different continents working in diverse styles and subject-matter but sharing something more important: an attitude. They are zealously searching for images that depict and re-imagine the world. They share a vision, an attitude, and an aesthetic. Everyone in this group is an imagist, a nomad. They are like hunter-gatherers of old, wandering to re-discover and re-capture the world.

These photographers are a nation of intrepid explorers, truth-tellers, willing to give all, for the sake of the image. A click of the shutter suffices to tell the truth or to lie… depending of the vision and intention …

We include them in a nation of artists because in reality they are the explorers of an advanced civilization that is living in our world, and sharing their expanded vision with us.

Photographers in this exhibition are : Vincenzo Cardile (Luxembourg) - Sam Dougados (France) - Sébastien Grébille (Belgium) - Ehsan Faridafshar (India) - Béatrix Jourdan (Sénégal) - Marc Montméat (France) - Anna Zavileiskaia (Russia - Hungary).

Sculpture exhibition - Permanent "Out of edition"

Martin Steinert - Germany

 - August & September 2012

Duration of the exhibition: SEPTEMBER 29, 2012 Opening hours : Tue-Fri 2.30 - 6.30 pm, Sat 11 am - 5.30 pm

"Spring is the real revolution. It drives out the old, suffuses all with new life, new meaning and beauty. The name in English also embodies the power of the energy that has been waiting to uncoil, that has been building up underneath the ground and in the sky, and will now change the face of the Earth.

This is a manifesto: Down with the gray! Up with colors! Plumage! Rainbows! All bright and beautiful things are ready to emerge into the light. Electromagnetic energy drives the universe and light is the part that we can see In the giant electromagnetic spectrum, visible light is a tiny stanza. Colors illuminate, radiate, enlighten, emanate, brighten our world

Colors give a sensual identity to the world."

POWER OF LINE Curator: Gila Paris

A line is a road, a unit of division. Living in distance.
Line is a unit, a beginning and an end, in the infinite.
A line defines space, that is the first division, coming and going.
Explorer of roads, of meaning and infinite, line is adventure.
Unit of division, a line lives in the distance, road and vehicle.
Artists are not squares, A line is the medium, road of the meaning.
A line in art is, straight like sword in the distance, lines pack in a punch.
Like a traveler, a line is road in the space, divided distance.
Unit of coming, lines bring infinite distance, exploring the road.

The Exhibition will consist of the work of 5 artists:

Yukiko Koyasu - Japan - lively graffiti like paintings using traditional Japanese ink and paper. Kwok Hung Lau - China figurative sculptures using line and musical ideas and rhythm. Margot Reding – Schroeder - Luxembourg. Dynamic figure studies usingcalligraphic signs, line and painterly strokes. Diane von den Steinen - France. Patterns and lines create complex figurative compositions. Nissim Ben Aderet - Israel. The whole work is a single line from start to finish. Each work is the enactment and story of the journey.

This audacious exhibition examines and samples the work of the 5 artists above who predominantly use line in their art. Each one of these artists takes an aspect of the line and illustrates how simple, forceful and interesting such work can be. Of all the strategies available to the visual artist, drawing, painting, enacting, creating a line is one of the most dynamic and provocative acts an artist can do. A line makes a cut into the world, decisively slicing, forging a path into unknown territory. Frank Shifreen, New York City.

Vernissage : Thursday, 10 May at 6.30 pm - 9 pm Duration of the exhibition: May 10 - June 20, 2012 Opening hours : Tue-Fri 2.30 - 6.30 pm, Sat 11 am - 5.30 pm
