Irma Kravcovaite - Letters from Luxembourg  Photography

The series “Letters from Luxembourg” was started for the expo
Luxembourg – The City of Short Distances which was organised by the Photo Club of the European Institutions in Luxembourg (CIEL).

Since there are 162 nationalities living in Luxembourg, I tried to express cultural and linquistic diversity of this small country. For this purpose, people living in Luxembourg were asked to write letters in their native languages and to allow part of what they wrote to be used in the images. More letters, more languages, more images are expected.

    the works are so inspiringl! Not pictures but pieces of lace... Delicate and intimate. Seems that you could hear the sounds behind them. The voices of people, or may be even their thoughts...
    I really like the idea. Thank you for inspiring me through your art...
