WHAT ABOUT PICTURE & PRINT QUALITY & RESOLUTION?

In order to create a print-on-demand program of Fine Art prints for our artists we are partnered with a company in Europe whose "experts" are both: professional photographers and fine art printers and  whose quality work we know over many years. We want you to deliver high quality fine art prints to your customers. So we have strict standards for the files you upload on our site in order to sell them:

Upload a high-resolution image of your artwork. You can upload a jpg/jpeg file ≤ 12 MB (megabyte).

  • What is high resolution?

In order to print at our smallest size (30 cm x 40 cm) your uploaded image must be at least 1475 pixels x 945 pixels (120 dpi). Best is to upload 300 dpi files! We will do the rest. The system you enable to select different print sizes of your oploaded file in order to offer it as Quality Fine Art Print.

During the uploading process of your file our system controls the resolution and permits you then to select only print sizes according to our standards. Nevertheless we have also a “human” check at the moment of an order. If we decide upon a concret order that the quality of a picture is not sufficient we reserve us the right to refuse the print execution. The customers and artist are informed about this decision. The customer is immediately reimbursed of his payment.

A hint for beginners: Don’t do beginner mistakes and push up your resolution for printing. This will not work out as you expect! When such an image would be ordered, it could be that we have to refuse to print this file at this late stage or the customer would send it back because of unsufficient quality!

The larger your image... the better. Larger images allow us to offer larger print sizes at better quality (see our table below).

This table indicates you the necessary file sizes compared to the possible print size:

If you order one of your own prints, we will automatically subtract your mark up (=accessory commission) from your order total.
