I was born and raised in San Francisco. Over the course of my life, I have lived in Los Angeles, Portland, the Oregon & Washington coasts, and Paris (France). Currently, I live and work in the state of New Mexico in the American Southwest.
My background is in anthropology, geology, and environmental science. This has always been in contrast with my soul, which is that of an artist and a mystic.
I draw my inspirations from the intricate beauty & patterns found (and sometimes concealed) in nature. Water, rock & minerals, shells, wood... both the microscopic and the macroscopic (satellite imagery). Sometimes, beauty (and meaning) is just waiting to be unveiled. I believe that meaningful forms and patterns exist throughout nature, and that often the "trick" is simply to remove what isn't necessary in order to reveal what's already there.
In addition to prints & canvases, my work is available printed on fabrics in high resolution - anything from sheer silks to fine Belgian linen - suitable for scarves, pillows, and more. Please inquire for details.
I welcome all comments and suggestions. Thank you!
