Carrousel du Louvre Salon 2007 in Paris - Presentation of the Turkish delegation
Organized by the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts the Salon 2007 in Paris presented once again to us an artist delegation of Turkey whose art works are worth to be seen. The selected participants of this year are mostly painters and sculptors as well as one ceramist. The event took place from December, 13 to 16, 2007. Cultureinside met the artists and interviewed them about their art and position in art. The interviews will be published in 2008.
The twelve artists in the Turkish delegation, organized by Nurhilal Harsa, are a group accomplished and professional. All artists are nationally well known, most f them also internationally, so we can be happy to have the occasion to see their excellent art in Paris and for some of us to discover their art world.

What about the Société Nationale des Beaux-arts, Paris ?
The Association of the « Société Nationale des Beaux-arts » was created in 1890 by the initiative of such famous artists as the sculptor RODIN and the painter PUVIS DE CHAVANNE. In 1909, it got the support of the Ministère de la Culture, and of the City of Paris. The SNBA looks back on a more than hundred year-long tradition of salons! Since its creation the SNBA organizes a salon presenting the best of international art. All tendencies in pictoral art (abstract, figurative, naive…) as well as each kind of sculpture (wood, metal, glass, stone, ceramic) are presented.
