Imagine the scene, it's a beautiful sunny crisp February morning, you're enjoying a quiet stroll in the countryside, your breath is forming a small cloud each time you exhale, and you feel a general sense of well-being as you start to notice the faintest smell, a delicious desirable familiar scent and you wonder, what does that remind me of?
You walk a bit further, the smell growing ever stronger and you ask yourself, what is that wonderful odour? You carry on, and as you get closer you hear it, a familiar sound, and you put two and two together, the sound, the smell, the unmistakeable sizzling and crackling, of bacon rashers, frying in a pan and you feel your stomach start to rumble. Someone walks around the corner just ahead of you, biting into a steaming hot delicious crispy bacon butty and your mouth waters and you think, I've just got to have one of those right now.
All very appetising, but what has this got to do with Web Design and SEO?
The point is a winning web site is a web site that will attract visitors from a distance, (SEO and promotion), and compel them to take action. Just like the delicious smell of bacon cooking draws you in from a distance, a well planned SEO strategy will draw in targeted prospects to your web site and well designed irresistible content will compel them to take action.
How can I get my website to smell like sizzling bacon?
Just like a delicious crispy bacon butty, it's all about the ingredients.
You will need a good quality website, by good quality I mean it should be well coded, beautiful to look at, user friendly, contain rich and original content and be a call to action for your customers.
You will need a well planned search engine optimisation strategy. This subject itself is a series of articles, but here are a few key points you need to consider.
Understanding your business objectives
You need to know what you want to achieve form your SEO. This gives you the opportunity to establish your goals and understand your business and its unique challenges.
Check your web site for code issues
One of the least obvious mentioned areas of SEO is poor web design. A web site may look wonderful on the surface, but if the code is poorly written or contains lots of redundant code, or the site lacks text, has duplicate content or just has poor quality content, all of these can have a devastating effect on your ranking.
Keyword research
It is extremely important to understand the keywords and phrases that your customers are using. There are a variety of available tools to achieve this. In doing this kind of research you can target those keywords within your web site. We often find during this process keyword phrases that are used by our customers but not used by competitors. Always a bonus!
Detailed analysis of competition
Looking at your competitors web sites, especially those that rank at the top can provide valuable insights. For example, you can find out who links to them, what search phrases they are strong in (and which are they missing out on). It is always a good idea to know who your competition is and what they are doing!
Installation of site analytic tools
Site analytic tools show you how people found your site, what they searched for or where they clicked from and what pages looked at, how long they stayed and what route they took through your site. Obviously this information is valuable, it's valuable for measuring the whether or not your visitors are finding what they are looking for and whether they are taking action. Imagine you're investing in a Pay Per Click campaign, you really want to know if the visitors you have paid for actually bought something or got in touch.
Review/Create a linking plan
Search engines look at links like they are personal recommendations. If you have plenty of high quality links to your site, it is like having lots of people say "what a great company". It is how they differentiate between two similar competing web sites. Please note though, "high quality links", not all links are equal! We also weed out the ones that may be harming your site!
Creation of search engine sitemaps
Search engines use sitemaps to crawl your web site. That is not to say your website will not be crawled if you do not have one, but all of it will be crawled if you do. Search engines like sitemaps because it speeds up the process.
Creation of Robots File
Robot files tell search engine which pages to visit and which ones to ignore. Sometimes, especially if you have for some important reason duplicate content, it is a good idea to get search engine robots to ignore all but one of the duplicate pages. You do this with a robot.txt file.
Review of current authority
You're probably already an expert at what you do, but does your web site reflect that, and more importantly does it reflect it to the search engines. The more of an expert you are as assessed by the information on your web site, the more quality traffic and links you will receive, the more important your site will be perceived, the higher up the rankings you will go.
On page optimisation
You will need to optimise each page to make them a search engine friendly as possible for a particular key word set.
A review of available site statistics
If you check your existing site statistics and analytics (assuming you have some). There is usually a wealth of information available the you can use to boost your current rankings.
Regular written updates
Effective SEO is an ongoing process that needs to be monitored. If you are serious about generating more business through your website then you need a proper plan and a strategy and you need to know what is working and what isn't.
Content development and copy writing
Search engines are about providing high quality accurate responses to customer queries, they are about content. People are looking for answers, answers are found in quality content. Analyse your existing content, create blogs, and write articles so your site continuously grows with quality content. Be an expert.
Social media
Social media has expanded enormously over the past few years and cannot be ignored. It is now a massive potential market place and we have strategies for utilising this media.

Ranking for keywords is not nearly as easy as it used to be, even if you are the first on the scene. In the past it simply took a ridiculous amount of content that was packed with keywords, perhaps to the point where a human could not read it, to rank highly on search engines. Then came the days of building inbound links and/or buying bundles of inbound links to drive traffic, but that day is now fading away too. Why do these techniques come and go just when people can figure them out? It is the very fact that people are figuring them out that is the problem. The only answer is to stay on top of the latest SEO techniques, but that is easier said than done.
The easiest way to stay on top of real SEO techniques is not popular, but it has to be said: pay for it. The bottom line is that search engines only remain in power and relevant so long as they return results that users want, not what content writers wish. Sometimes those are the same thing, but there are only so many links on any search engine result page (SERP) for content links and meta-descriptions. This means competition is part of the game, and search engines know that this drives some people to the point where they try nearly anything to get on top...even if it is unethical and/or goes against the needs and wants of the search engine.
As a result, search engines constantly update their SEO algorithms, and the code that compares results of different algorithms to uncover anomalies that might be telltale signs of an attempt to trick a single type of SEO routine. With so many algorithms and comparative analysis software running, it really does take a small company to continually monitor what is happening with SEO in real time. A few additional workers are required to update documents and even more workers are required to keep SEO-related software up to date. All of this labor does cost something, but failing to adhere to the latest in SEO might mean spending endless time blogging to little or no avail. The choice is ultimately yours.
You might try taking the so-called 'free' route and trust websites and forums that have potentially outdated information and risk taking bad advice that could leave lasting harm on a website from an SEO point of view. The worst-case scenario is that you end up spending a ton of time and hurting a website rather than helping it. On the other hand if you do decide to opt for paying for the latest tools and information from companies like SEO Moz, then it only becomes a question of learning how to use those tools effectively. Luckily, companies like SEO Moz pack plenty of instructions and how-to guides into their site, which means that success is only a matter of effort and diligence at this point.

If you're building links, you may be wondering how long it will take Google to recognize those links. What many people don't know is that some links may never be found unless you do something about it. Let me share that something with you quickly.
If Google doesn't know that your link is on a page, it won't actually cont for much.
So how do you get your links on those pages recognized?
When submitting content or links to some sites, you won't have to do anything at all. A lot of sites get indexed within a few hours without having to do anything at all to your links. It's a great idea to participate on sites like this that get indexed on their own, because it makes less work for you.
Other sites aren't so easy to get indexed. For example if you're doing a profile backlink, it's not likely to get indexed on it's own. With a link like that, you'll need to take some time to get the link indexed.
Wait a second... indexed?
The easiest way to see if a page is indexed in Google is to take the url of the page your link is one, and put that into the search bar and search for it. If the page is found, and the results return with a direct link to the page, then your link is indeed indexed.
If your link is not found, then something needs to be done with the link to get it indexed.
So how does a page get indexed?
I'm glad you asked! Indexing isn't as easy as it used to be. A few months ago, you could put all of your links into an RSS feed, and submit that feed through RSS submission sites, and ping your links.
Unfortunately this method isn't working as well as it used to.
The best way is hands down to build more backlinks to your backlinks. Yes, you read that right, you need to backlink your backlinks. If this sounds like a lot of work, it really isn't if you're doing it the right way.
Something else you'll want to keep in mind when you're building your backlinks and checking on them to get indexed is that a lot of the free tools that check backlinks aren't very effective.
We all like to take a look at another sites backlinks to see how many it has, and that's one of the main reasons at best you'll only see 10% of your links show up through those tools.
The Yahoo tool has been the most popular for a really long time. I'm not sure why though when most people are worried about ranking in Google, they're checking Yahoo to see how many links Yahoo recognizes! But I myself do this too... I'm still not sure why though.
I've done SEO services for clients, backlinked their backlinks, sent them a report of the links for them to check after I verified that 100% of the links were indexed and they responded asking me why none of the links were showing up in Yahoo.
So keep in mind that these tools aren't very effective, and you wouldn't want them to be! Just imagine how much easier it would be for your competitors to outrank you if they knew every single of the sites linking to you.

The world of SEO is ever changing, and if you really want to get a big jumpstart on getting your pages ranked fast, save yourself years of learning.

When starting an online business, you will have to size up your competition. This is going to give you an edge in competing effectively in Internet marketing. Knowing your competitors, what they are doing and how many there are is only one aspect of the research you'll need to do. The other is being familiar with the demand for your product or service. To stand out from other web-based sellers or providers, you want to gain the knowledge of the quality of competition your site will face, as well as how many customers want what you have.
Researching the competition websites
It's very simple to go online to find out everything you want to know about your competitors. Take any major search engine and type in one keyword that relates to your business. You'll see a number of websites appear and you can check out a number of them. See what they are doing as far as website promotion and search engine marketing. Do they have quality copy on the site? How do they advertise? What sort of design do they use? How do they implement SEO? All these things can give you ideas of what you can or even what you shouldn't do.
How Many Competitors are You Going to Find?
Check out the number of competitors you will have on the Web. You will be able to see, once you've searched a keyword, how many pages come up as a result. Not all the pages showing will be ones that are actual competition. If you want to show more accurate results, take a keyword phrase and put it within quotation marks when typing it into the search engine.
An example would be this: Say you are starting a business selling copywriting services in California. Your keyword phrase could be 'California copywriting services'. When typing this into Google search, you find an unbelievable amount of 97,900 pages come up. However, put quotations around these same words and you get only 3 results. Reduces the competition, doesn't it? This amount of difference isn't always the case, but you will find that fewer pages come up when using quotes.
Get Great Tips from those Paying Advertisers
Look to those who have the sponsored results in the search engines. Your competitors who are paying to advertise using pay-per-click marketing will usually appear at the top of the results list, sometimes in a little different format. If these types of listings show up, you can bet that they are making some sort of profit from selling their product or service. You should look into their sites, looking at what they are selling and how they are presenting it. Look into both these pay-per-click advertisers and the others listed below who show up in the natural rankings. You'll learn quite a lot.
As you go forward with your research, don't let the competition scare you. When there is quite a bit of competition, you can extrapolate from there that the demand exists for your niche. You just need to do a proper analysis and learn key tips from it. See what they are doing well and improve on it for your business. Perhaps they have an easily navigated site. Make note of this. See what they don't do well. Perhaps they have copy that looks unprofessional or is confusing. Avoid that aspect or take the hint, make it so it works and run with it. And remember, if there isn't much competition, this can indicate little demand. You might not make a profit with a business in this area.
Is There Really a Demand for Your Product or Service?
Besides finding out if there are a large amount of people selling in your field, there are other ways to work out the demand for your niche. To get you going, here are ways to work out whether your web-based business will get the hits you need and how to do good website promotion:
1. Go onto the online article directories. See if there are articles related to your business product or service. If many are out there, you can figure there is a high demand. Check out the links within the articles and analyze the websites of those marketing this way.
2. Join some online social networks and discussion groups that relate to your business. You can see from the conversations and comments what people are interested in and what they are talking about. You can see if there is some aspect of what you are doing now that you can revise in order to meet some need that isn't currently being met. Ask others for comments on your product ideas.
3. Look into books and magazines that are published about your business area. Publishing these costs money, so you know there must be a demand for the item. Look at the advertisements in the back of the magazines. If there are many ads for that product/service, again, you know there must be a demand.
If you try to launch your web-based business when you aren't able to develop a unique Internet marketing strategy, the market is saturated or there isn't a demand for your product or service, you won't have success in your endeavors. However, if you can create a unique marketing angle, fill a need that isn't being filled currently and also know there's a demand for what you are selling, you can outdo the competition on every count. By researching your market, you will get the leading edge and become a real winner in your field.

https://jacksonlee32.kinja.com/how-to-find-a-real-seo-specialist-1837558915

I've recently been asked to give a quote to do SEO for a site selling health insurance. I was not given any other prerequisites just how much would SEO cost. Quoting for SEO is a little like quoting to build a house, it all depends on what the outcome the clients wants. Do they want a small 1 bedroom apartment or a 30 bedroom estate home with all the trimmings. The biggest factor is competition. Health Insurance has a lot of websites and businesses all trying to get a cut of the pie, many of the websites have been around for years for have seniority over a new site in Googles eyes anyway.
But ranking on Google on the first page can be done, if a client has the money to invest in it, of course it can be done. I would even go onto say that they could rank in first place of a Google search result, knocking Blue Shield CA out of first place, for health insurance; I could do that, if and only if, I had the resources, but even then I still can't give an accurate quote. The big question is what keywords you want first page or first place. Most business have little idea which keywords are best, or the ones they do think would be worthwhile, in fact aren't.
But lets say for this example "Health Insurance California". The first step is to do that exact search and research who's ranking on the first page now for that term. Also look at the sites that are using pay per click, and find out what they are paying for adwords. Then look at the various ways of doing that search, "California Health Insurance" "Health Insurance California Family" Health Insurance California single person" "Health Insurance California self employed" the list goes on.
There are some big company names on the first page of Google, and pay per click business are paying between $250 and $3.4k for advertising a DAY. Average price for a click is $6.34. Round that off to $6 for easy figuring. Realistically if you are looking at even the mid range of pay per click of $1000 a day, if you are looking at saving $35 k a month on adwords, you can't really expect to pay an SEO $2500 to do it. Yet you would be flabbergasted at how many people do expect that kind of deal. And what's more clients expect first page results within a few weeks... taint going to happen.
As a general rule of thumb though, an investment of 4 months of a mid-range pay per click, would get some impressive results. Ok, how much are we looking at for this example? $1k a day, for 120 days. $120k. That's actually a little high for good results, but there isn't any business that would spend $120k on getting their site to rank well in Google for say 50 different keywords or keyword terms. That taint going to happen either.
In the real business world $120 isn't that much money, you can bet that Blue Shield would spend more than that on newspaper advertising probably a week. The internet is a wonderful thing, and there are cazillions of opportunities out there, you just have to have either money to invest in a website, or be willing to put the work in yourself.
I often suggest to clients that want SEO like this they use an SEO consulting service, they do the work, and the consultant just tells them what to do. I have some clients that have gotten some very impressive SEO results, and saved themselves 10's of thousands of dollars in the interim.

How to Effectively Execute SEO Link Building Strategies

https://tanie-pozycjonowanie.eu/

A lot of people do not just understand why SEO is not, and will never be just about link building. Links are far more significant than what most experts think it is and how it works to actually enhance your SEO performance.
For years Google has dominated the rivalry on manipulative links yet public testimonials from other search engines make it clear that they do not also like link manipulation. If search engines were not giving importance to links, then why work hard to get some? But the problem with some of the supposed experts in SEO is that they are overlooking the more important and productive features of SEO.
Being productive must mean getting a far better return on your investment from doing other techniques than link building. The SEO group's intellectual disappointments with the Penney link scam must have made that clear but it is also good to realize that the trouble that individuals in the SEO business raised over Penney's penalty and how it affected the incomes was a total waste of time.
Was he punished by Google? Cutts just stated that Penney had accomplished several works to clean up their profile and requested for some reconsideration's. But actually, it doesn't really matter if his party have done anything on their links or not. Their salary reports show that the generic search terms of Google do not drive more converting traffic to his page.
Instead of focusing on acquiring more links, you must focus on adding value to your content. Whether you send an email message to someone or post an article for blogs, you are spending a few lasting, unique part of your life putting those words together. Is your time really of such low value that you do not care how unproductive you appear to be to others? If you just like to spend your days writing link building posts for ineffective blogs, how can it pay off your hard work? What are your plans? Where is your sense of quality?
Companies does not require a lot of link building articles weekly from individuals trying to make names for themselves in the SEO industry. A hundred link building articles or more are from SEO technicians are not even necessary. What companies need are excellent stories about how individuals set their goals for obtaining links and successfully getting them.
When trying to be effective in online marketing, you need to work according to what is being asked by several search engines. Try not to focus on things or techniques that are somewhat irrelevant. Choosing the most appropriate approaches and understanding fully their effects can help you generate good and consistent traffic to your homepage.
The competition online can only get tougher. The only way for you to reach success and rise above your competitors is to be smart in doing SEO works. So what are you waiting for? Search for the best way to enhance your performance. Be smart in executing your plan of actions. Be more successful!

How Do I Find the PageRank of a Web Page

https://tanie-pozycjonowanie.eu/

How do I find the PageRank of a Web Page? Well, PageRank is a score from zero to ten that Google assigns to a particular web page. The PageRank denotes the importance of the site in the eyes of Google and is determined by several factors, including the number of other important pages that are linking to that web page.
The higher the amount of important pages linking to a web page, the higher its PageRank or PR.
To find out the PageRank of a web page you need to download the Google Tool Bar, just search Google for this.
If you already have a Google Tool Bar but it does not have a PR button you may need to uninstall your old Google Tool Bar and install the new one.
Once you have the PageRank Button you can check out thePR of all your web pages and the pages of your competitors etc. If you see that one of your customers or suppliers sites have a good PageRank try and get them to link to you.
On average, if you have a PageRank of 2 you are doing well.
As you get more incoming links your PR should go up.
Please also bear in mind that your current PageRank is only a snap shot in time, it may be weeks or months before it changes, but it doesn't mean Google won't improve your rankings just because your PageRank is not increasing.
I have many web pages that appear on the 1st Page of Google that don't even have a PageRank. This is because I have all the SEO methods in place like Page Title, Keywords, Inlinks, and so on.

Google Case Sensitive Search

https://tanie-pozycjonowanie.eu/

Several weeks ago the question of a new Google case sensitive search started appearing in a couple of message boards. I've noticed this phenomenon myself especially over the last two weeks when working on a particular customer's website.
This issue impacted communication with the customer. At first, I thought it was a matter of the client and myself looking at results from two different data centers. Then I realized that the client was using capital letters in some words but not in others while searching and this impacted the results in Google.
For years, Google and the other search engines have stated that their searches are not case sensitive. But, now that seems not to be the case for some keyword phrases. You'll have to note, however, that not all keyword phrases are impacted by the use or non-use of capital letters.
I've experimented somewhat with this and the results are mixed. Those who have weighed in on the message boards have also reported mixed results as well. There is a thread on the Digital Point forum that talks about this issue and the use of "Cool Time" versus "cool time" while searching Google.
Some people report seeing different results while others don't. I can verify that I do see different results from these two searches. For me, when doing this search, the first two spots in the SERPs are the same, while the third spot on down are a bit different.
There are also threads over at Search Engine Watch and Webmaster World that are reporting the phenomenon but not the impact of the same issue. Now, the first question that pops to mind is "why?" What is the motivation for having a Google case sensitive search?
Right now, I can only speculate. Perhaps this is one attempt to thwart blog comment or message board spam? Or, perhaps this is an attempt to differentiate between a company's official name or a product name and a generic word.
The impact of this Google case sensitive search could be large for some sites. Perhaps their company name is part of their primary homepage key phrase and they rank well when using capital letters for their company name. But, suppose most searchers type in lower case and the same website doesn't rank as well in lower case.
This also brings to mind another question. Will link-builders now have to use anchor text with both upper and lower case letters in order to achieve optimal results in the Google SERPs? Do capital letters now affect the title and meta tag areas?
For many business owners case sensitive search will be a non-issue. But, for those that are affected knowing the answers to these questions may have a very large impact on their bottom lines.

Google Versus Bing - Your Best SEO Bet

https://tanie-pozycjonowanie.eu/

I got into search engine optimization when Yahoo was king and Google was a gleam in Larry Page's eye so I've had a front row seat to all the big doings. And one thing I can tell you for certain is Microsoft just took off its kid gloves with the release of Bing and is looking for a shot at the reigning champ Google.
This article will show you how to hedge your bet with both contenders and come out a winner while these two Goliaths slug it out.
Round One:
First and foremost make sure you follow the one major rule that will apply to both engines; Content is King!
Although we don't yet have a clear picture of how Bing will react to all situations we do know that, since it is being touted as the first decision engine, it will focus greatly on quality of content. That said, be ready to make your pages a little longer than you did when optimizing for MSN and be certain the copy reads well.
Round Two:
Great content is not enough. It has to be well written and natural sounding. Anything that sounds like it was written for a search bot will not make it into the top one hundred let alone the top ten.
Round Three:
Still dealing with on page content, you need to carefully consider how many times your keyword is mentioned and where it is found on the page text. Both search engines will not only look for your keywords but also the context in which they are found. It is no longer enough to simply have them sprinkled in the text randomly. Now the keywords need to actually flow in the context of the text as well. This is typically taken care of for you when writing naturally but is definitely worth the extra once over before posting the final page live.
Here is a little formula to help...
1. Use one main keyword and up to two supporting keywords per page.
2. Do not repeat the main keyword more than three times on a page.
3. Do not repeat the supporting keywords more than twice each per page.
4. Try to have at least five hundred words per page.
5. Try to place your main keyword at the beginning, middle and end of the page text while keeping the writing natural and flowing.
Round Four:
Get as many high quality inbound links as possible. You already know this but it bears repeating. Search engines today are about popularity of the individual page returns. Having inbound links from Google authority sites will be more important than ever because any other search engine trying to trump Google will also be checking these stats as well as adding a few of their own.
That said, getting links from just the Google authority sites is not enough. You also want to get links from MSN's top picks (which are now Bing's top picks.)
Round Five:
To really hedge your bet, get an early leg up on your competition by becoming proficient in proven SEO software with a good track record on both Google and MSN.
And finally, look for domains for sale that are already ranked well on MSN. This could be the diamond in the rough opportunity of a lifetime for your online business.
By following these simple tips you can outdo ninety nine percent of your competition trying to share in the rewards offered by Google and Bing going head to head.
